Which permanent circuit lies inside the Circuit de la Sarthe complex?

The Bugatti Circuit is the permanent circuit inside the Circuit de la Sarthe complex.

Unlike the full 24-hour course, which combines dedicated track sections with public roads temporarily closed for racing, the Bugatti Circuit is a shorter permanent facility at Le Mans. It was built in 1965 and named after automobile pioneer Ettore Bugatti.

The two circuits share important infrastructure, including the pit and paddock area, and portions of the Bugatti layout are incorporated into the larger endurance-racing complex. This relationship causes a frequent mix-up: “Circuit de la Sarthe” usually refers to the long endurance course, while “Bugatti Circuit” identifies the permanent short track. Bugatti hosts motorcycle events and other races as well as selected automotive competitions.
