Peter Jones remained the longest-serving original investor on the British Dragon's Den panel.
Jones joined the programme when the British series began in 2005 and became a continuing presence as other investors departed or rotated into the panel. He is an entrepreneur and businessman whose interests have included technology, media, property and retail.
The original panel also included Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Rachel Elnaugh and Simon Woodroffe. Their appearances helped establish the programme's early identity, but they did not all stay for the same length of time. That is why “original investor” and “longest-serving investor” are not interchangeable descriptions.
Jones is often recognizable on screen for his tall stature and direct questioning. His long tenure also makes him one of the clearest links between the show's first series and its later eras.
