Peter Jones is the only original Dragons' Den investor to have appeared continuously in the British series.
Jones joined the original panel when the British programme launched in 2005. The first group also included Duncan Bannatyne, Doug Richard, Simon Woodroffe and Rachel Elnaugh, but those other original investors later left the regular panel.
His continued presence makes him the longest-serving dragon in the British version. Jones is an entrepreneur and investor with interests in technology, consumer brands and leisure businesses, which gives him a broad range of experience during pitches.
A common mix-up is to treat every investor from the first series as a permanent member of the panel. In practice, the line-up has changed repeatedly, while Jones has remained the constant original investor.
