Peter Jones is the only member of the first Dragon's Den investor panel still appearing on the show.
Jones joined the British programme at its launch in 2005 alongside Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe, and Doug Richard. As the other original investors departed, Jones remained a regular member of the panel and became one of the programme's most recognisable figures.
His business interests have included technology, media, retail, and property. On the show, he is especially associated with questioning entrepreneurs about scalability, ownership, and the practical route from a promising product to a large company.
The wording refers to the original panel, not to every investor who appeared during the early years. Several other long-serving dragons joined later, including Deborah Meaden, so they cannot be counted as members of the first panel.
