Which original Dragon was the youngest investor on the first British series of Dragons' Den?

The story behind the answer

Peter Jones was the youngest investor on the first British series of Dragons' Den.

Jones joined the original panel alongside Duncan Bannatyne, Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis and Rachel Elnaugh. He had already built a career as an entrepreneur and investor, with interests including technology, media, leisure and retail businesses.

His height and direct negotiating style made him especially recognisable on the programme, but the age distinction refers to the launch panel rather than every Dragon who later appeared. The cast changed over time, so comparisons involving later investors can produce a different result.

Jones also became associated with investments in consumer brands and technology businesses outside the programme. His long tenure helped make him one of the most recognisable Dragons in the British edition, alongside his role as a producer and entrepreneur.
