Peter Jones remained on the main British Dragon's Den panel throughout the programme's first 20 years.
Jones was one of the five original Dragons when the BBC series began in 2005. The other original investors were Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Theo Paphitis and Doug Richard. Their panel established the format's best-known early combination of retail, technology, property and entrepreneurial experience.
The cast changed repeatedly as investors left and new Dragons joined. Jones nevertheless continued as a regular investor, making him the only original Dragon to remain continuously on the principal British panel during the show's first two decades.
He is an entrepreneur and investor associated particularly with technology, mobile communications, leisure and retail businesses. This fact should not be confused with the separate question of who was the first Scottish Dragon: that description referred to Duncan Bannatyne.
