Peter Jones remained on the British television series Dragon's Den continuously from its first series.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor who became one of the programme’s original Dragons when the UK edition launched in 2005. He is recognised for interests spanning technology, media, retail and consumer businesses, and his investment decisions on the show often focus on scalability and commercial potential.
The wording matters because several other well-known Dragons were also present in the early years. Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis and Richard Farleigh all appeared on the programme, but they did not remain part of the panel continuously from the beginning in the same way.
Jones’s uninterrupted presence gives him a unique place in the British version’s history. Although the panel has changed many times, he has provided continuity between the original format and later series. He is therefore often described as the only original Dragon still appearing throughout the programme’s run.
