Which original Dragon on the British programme Dragons' Den founded the Bannatyne Group?

Duncan Bannatyne, an original Dragon on the British programme Dragons' Den, founded the Bannatyne Group.

The Bannatyne Group became associated with health clubs, spas and hotels. Bannatyne built his business career through several ventures before developing the group into a substantial leisure operation. His experience as an entrepreneur was central to his role on the first Dragons' Den panel.

Bannatyne was one of the five investors who appeared when the British series launched in 2005. The other original Dragons were Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis, Rachel Elnaugh and Doug Richard.

The Bannatyne Group is not the same thing as a company created through a Dragons' Den pitch. Bannatyne brought his own established business background to the programme as an investor, while the entrepreneurs appearing in the Den sought capital for their separate companies.
