Rachel Elnaugh left the British television programme Dragons' Den after its second series.
Elnaugh was one of the investors in the programme's original British line-up. Before joining television, she founded Red Letter Days, a business selling experience gifts, and became known for her entrepreneurial career in consumer retail.
Her departure occurred early in the show's history, after the second series. That timing can be confused with the later turnover among the investor panel, particularly because several well-known Dragons joined or departed in subsequent years.
Elnaugh's exit also explains why viewers who mainly remember the long-running panel may not recognise her as an original investor. The early programme had a changing cast before settling into the combinations of Dragons that became familiar to a wider audience.
