Peter Jones is the only original investor still serving as a regular Dragon on the British series Dragon's Den.
Jones joined the programme when it launched in 2005, alongside the original panel members Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard. His continued presence has made him the longest-serving regular Dragon in the show's UK history.
The other original investors eventually left the regular panel. Several later Dragons have joined over the years, including Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis, Kelly Hoppen, Touker Suleyman, Jenny Campbell, Tej Lalvani and Sara Davies. This changing panel is one reason the programme's line-up can look very different between series.
Peter Jones is sometimes mistaken for the only Dragon ever to appear in the programme, but that is not correct. He is the only member of the original launch panel who remained a regular investor across the subsequent UK series.
