Which original Dragon founded the Bannatyne Group, the health-club business associated with him?

Duncan Bannatyne founded the Bannatyne Group, the health-club business associated with him.

Bannatyne is a Scottish entrepreneur whose business interests expanded from earlier ventures into a major chain of health clubs, spas and hotels. The Bannatyne Group became the most recognisable company connected with his name.

He was one of the original Dragons when the British programme launched in 2005. His background in leisure and fitness gave him particular familiarity with pitches involving gyms, wellness, hospitality and consumer services.

Bannatyne left the regular Dragon's Den panel after several series, so he is part of the show's original history rather than its permanent modern line-up. The company name also makes this fact distinct from Peter Jones's technology and media interests or Theo Paphitis's retail businesses.
