Money Game is the The Price Is Right stage game that is always played for a car.
In Money Game, the contestant sees a board of nine two-digit numbers. Two numbers represent the first and last two digits of the car’s price, while the middle digit is revealed at the start. The contestant chooses numbers one at a time, trying to complete the price before filling a separate column with incorrect selections.
Correct choices reveal portions of the car’s price. Incorrect choices reveal dollar signs and add their face values to the contestant’s cash total. If the contestant completes the price first, they win the car plus the accumulated cash. If the cash column fills first, they keep the money but do not win the car.
The game has changed slightly over the years. When it was played for cars with five-digit prices, it was originally called Big Money Game. It is easy to confuse Money Game with games such as Let ’em Roll, Pass the Buck, Master Key, or More or Less, but those games may offer cash or additional prizes and are not defined exclusively by a car prize.
