Which Nintendo Switch game is set in the Hisui region?

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set in the Hisui region.

Game Freak developed Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch, and it was released on January 28, 2022. The game takes place in the distant past of the Pokémon world, in a region known as Hisui. Hisui is later identified with the Sinnoh region featured in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

The story follows the player’s work for the Galaxy Expedition Team and focuses on creating one of the region’s earliest Pokédexes. The game changes several familiar series conventions, including real-time encounters, direct Pokémon catching in the field, and battles that can begin without transitioning to a separate battle screen.

Hisui contains regional forms and evolutions, including Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Zorua, and Wyrdeer. The game is therefore connected to Sinnoh, but its historical setting and gameplay distinguish it from the earlier Sinnoh remakes.
