Which Nintendo Switch game introduced the playable fighter Min Min from ARMS to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Answer
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Answer
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate introduced the playable fighter Min Min from ARMS.
Min Min joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as downloadable content in June 2020. She originated in ARMS, Nintendo’s Switch fighting game released in 2017, where fighters attack with extendable spring-like arms. Her Smash moveset preserves that long-range identity by allowing her two arms to attack independently and by adapting techniques from ARMS.
Min Min was the sixth fighter in the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 downloadable-content lineup. Her inclusion was announced in a presentation hosted by Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The character was selected from ARMS rather than representing a completely new franchise in Smash.
ARMS is sometimes mistakenly given as the answer because it is Min Min’s original game. However, the question asks which game introduced her as a playable fighter in the crossover series. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s downloadable roster also includes characters from Minecraft, Final Fantasy, Xenoblade Chronicles, and other game series.
