Which Nintendo console received Portal via Portal: Companion Collection?

Portal received the Portal: Companion Collection release on Nintendo Switch.

The collection arrived on June 28, 2022, bringing both Portal and Portal 2 to Nintendo’s hybrid console. It was developed in collaboration with Nvidia Lightspeed Studios and gave Switch players access to the series’ distinctive physics puzzles, dark humor, and exploration of Aperture Science.

This was not the first time Portal had appeared on a console. The original game debuted in 2007 on Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 as part of The Orange Box. It later reached other platforms, including Mac, Linux, and Nvidia Shield. The Switch version therefore represents a later port rather than the game’s original console release.

The name can cause confusion because Portal: Companion Collection is both a product title and a description of what it contains. It includes Portal and Portal 2, while also incorporating the additional levels associated with Portal: Still Alive. Portal 2 adds cooperative play, including local split-screen and online multiplayer, making the bundle more than a simple re-release of the first game.
