Which NHL team plays its home games at the United Center?

The Chicago Blackhawks play their home games at the United Center. The arena stands at 1901 West Madison Street in Chicago and is also home to the NBA’s Chicago Bulls.

Known as “the Madhouse on Madison,” the United Center opened in 1994, replacing Chicago Stadium as the Blackhawks’ home. It is one of the NHL’s largest and most recognizable venues, with hockey games sharing the building with basketball, concerts, and other major events.

The Blackhawks are one of the NHL’s Original Six franchises, founded in 1926. Their United Center era has included Stanley Cup championships in 2010, 2013, and 2015. A common mix-up is confusing the United Center with Chicago Stadium, the team’s previous arena, which closed after the 1993–94 season.
