Which new Mario Kart World mode sends 24 racers through a long elimination race?
Answer
Knockout Tour
Answer
Knockout Tour
Knockout Tour is the Mario Kart World mode that sends 24 racers through a long elimination race.
Unlike a conventional Grand Prix, Knockout Tour is structured as one extended journey across the connected game world. Racers travel between environments and must reach successive checkpoints before the field is reduced.
Four racers are eliminated at each of six intermittent checkpoints. That produces a steadily shrinking group and changes the strategic rhythm: surviving the next checkpoint matters as much as winning an individual stretch of road.
Grand Prix remains a separate mode, but its races require drivers to travel to each course rather than simply loading four disconnected events. Free Roam is focused on exploration, while Battle Mode uses competitive minigames such as Balloon Battle and Coin Runners.
