Up to four Nintendo Switch 2 consoles can use CameraPlay simultaneously in one Mario Kart World GameChat room.
CameraPlay is a Switch 2 feature that displays players’ camera images inside Mario Kart World. Nintendo’s support guidance separates the console limit from the per-console face limit: each console can show up to two players’ faces, while as many as four consoles can activate CameraPlay in the same GameChat room.
That means the combined maximum can reach eight visible faces, assuming every participating console uses the full two-player allowance. The figure of four therefore refers to consoles, not individual players.
CameraPlay arrived through the game’s early software updates rather than being part of the original Mario Kart series formula. It complements GameChat and local multiplayer, but it does not increase the number of racers supported by a race.
