Players can find P Switches hidden around the game’s connected world. Driving into one starts an activity or objective, such as collecting items, reaching targets, or completing a route under specific conditions. They give Free Roam a structured challenge layer beyond simply driving around.
P Switches are a familiar element of the wider Super Mario universe, where they commonly alter environments or reveal temporary paths. In World, Nintendo adapted the idea into exploration missions designed for kart-based movement.
They are not the only Free Roam collectibles. Players can also search for ? Panels and Peach Medallions. These collectibles are tracked separately, so completing all P Switch missions does not automatically mean every exploration objective has been finished.
