Lucy Pevensie is the youngest Pevensie sibling in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Lucy is the first of the four Pevensie children to enter Narnia. She discovers the land through the wardrobe in the spare room of the country house where the children are staying during the Second World War. Her siblings initially doubt her account, but the reality of Narnia is eventually revealed to all four.
The Pevensie children are Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, in descending age order. Lucy is characterized by courage, trust, and openness to wonder. Her first meeting with the faun Mr. Tumnus establishes the book’s mixture of danger and hospitality.
Lucy appears in several Narnia books, including Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Horse and His Boy, and The Last Battle. Her role makes her one of the principal human protagonists of the series.
