Tangrowth serves as “Professor Tangrowth” in Pokémon Pokopia’s story.
After Ditto awakens in the abandoned world, it meets Tangrowth, who has taken on the role of Professor Tangrowth. This character studies the environment and investigates the mystery of why humans and Pokémon have left.
The professor’s role gives the story a guide who connects the player’s rebuilding work with the wider history of the setting. Ditto’s tasks are not only about decorating or collecting materials; they also help uncover what happened to the world.
Tangrowth can be confused with other grass-associated Pokémon such as Grovyle or Trevenant. The game’s named professor is specifically Tangrowth. This is separate from the existing Pokémon Professor characters seen in mainline adventures, such as Professor Oak or Professor Rowan.
