Volcanion awakens after the party in Rocky Ridges in Pokémon Pokopia.
In Rocky Ridges, Ditto works with DJ Rotom to improve the mood of the devastated former mining town and prepare a large party. The celebration attracts many Pokémon, and its noise becomes strong enough to awaken Volcanion from a nearby volcano.
Volcanion is classified as a Mythical Pokémon in the Pokémon series. Its appearance in Pokopia fits the area’s volcanic setting, although it does not attend the party directly. Instead, Volcanion contributes a spectacular fireworks display that brings the celebration to a successful conclusion.
This event is separate from the awakening of other special Pokémon in the game. Kyogre helps produce lasting rain in the early story, Raikou clears the clouds over Bleak Beach, and Mewtwo appears after the restoration of a huge building in Sparkling Skylands.
