Which musical won three Tony Awards at the 2026 ceremony and had nine nominations?

Cats: The Jellicle Ball won three Tony Awards at the 2026 ceremony from nine nominations.

The production was a reimagined revival of Cats and earned its three victories for costume design, choreography, and direction of a musical. Its nine nominations placed it behind the two 12-nomination leaders, The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon!, and Ragtime’s 11 nominations.

The ceremony recognized productions from Broadway’s 2025–26 season. Cats: The Jellicle Ball competed in both artistic and performance categories, including featured acting, scenic design, lighting design, and orchestrations.

Its directing team, Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch, won Best Direction of a Musical. Arturo Lyons and Omari Wiles won choreography, while Qween Jean won costume design. Those three wins explain the production’s final total.
