Dive was added for all Pokémon Pokopia players in the August 2026 free software update.
The move allows Ditto to explore underwater areas and is especially important for visiting the aquatic Bubbly Basin content. Players do not need to purchase the Expansion Pass to learn Dive, although the pass provides access to the new town and its additional features.
To learn Dive, players must complete the important request “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach. The game also requires Ditto to have the ability to jump and to know Surf, so the move is tied to progression and exploration requirements rather than being available immediately.
Dive is distinct from other water-related moves such as Surf or Waterfall. In Pokopia, its main significance is enabling underwater exploration and decoration. The update therefore connects a free gameplay addition with the paid expansion’s aquatic setting.
