The Dive move lets players explore underwater in Pokémon Pokopia’s Bubbly Basin update.
Dive was introduced in a free update connected to Bubbly Basin, the first paid part of the game’s Expansion Pass. It allows the player character to travel below the waves and reach the underwater town added by that content.
The move fits Pokopia’s broader design, in which Pokémon abilities become practical tools for interacting with the environment. Elsewhere in the game, learned moves can help create vegetation, water plants, cut debris, or smash rocks. Dive extends that idea into a new aquatic area.
Surf is a familiar water-related move elsewhere in Pokémon, but it is not the move identified for reaching Bubbly Basin’s underwater environment. Water Gun is also used in Pokopia for refreshing thirsty plants, making it a separate gameplay function.
