Cut lets the player cut through obstacles in Pokémon Pokopia.
The game transforms the familiar move Cut into an environmental ability. After learning it, the player can clear vegetation and cut through certain natural obstructions, opening routes and helping with the work of restoring the damaged landscape.
Scyther is the Pokémon associated with teaching this ability in the game. That connection fits Scyther’s design: the Pokémon has long, blade-like forearms, so Pokopia represents the move through a visual transformation of the player’s hands into cutting blades.
Cut is easy to confuse with Slash, Fury Cutter, and X-Scissor because all are associated with cutting or bladed attacks in the wider Pokémon series. Pokopia’s named utility move is simply Cut. Its role here is exploration and land management, not the standard battle-only use found in many earlier games.
