Which move lets Pokémon Pokopia players dive underwater after the later update?

The story behind the answer

The later Pokémon Pokopia update added the move Dive for underwater exploration.

Dive allows players to reach areas of the map that were previously unexplorable. The update expanded Pokopia’s world beyond its original land-focused habitat building and introduced aquatic-themed Pokémon and furniture associated with the new environments.

The first expansion-pass part, Bubbly Basin, was released in August 2026. The Dive ability was added through a free update released at the same time, so the move and the paid expansion are related but not identical pieces of content. Players should not treat Dive itself as an expansion-pass-only feature.

Dive is easy to confuse with other water-related Pokémon moves, especially Surf and Waterfall. In Pokopia’s update context, however, Dive specifically refers to entering underwater areas and reaching sections of the map that could not be explored before the update.
