Squirtle teaches Ditto Water Gun to water plants in Pokémon Pokopia.
Pokopia gives Ditto practical abilities by having Pokémon teach it moves. These moves are not presented only as battle techniques; they also become tools for restoring the environment and completing everyday building tasks.
Water Gun is Squirtle’s example of this system. Ditto can use the move to refresh thirsty plants, making it useful while cultivating habitats and improving the surrounding landscape. Other learned abilities serve different purposes, such as creating bushes, cutting debris, or smashing rocks.
Water Gun is easy to confuse with other water-related Pokémon moves. Bubble and Hydro Pump are separate moves, while Rain Dance changes weather rather than directly spraying a plant. In Pokopia’s tutorial-style example, the specific move connected with Squirtle and plant watering is Water Gun.
