Which monster truck is themed after a dog?
Answer
Monster Mutt
Answer
Monster Mutt
Monster Mutt is the monster truck themed after a dog.
The truck debuted in 2003 in the Monster Jam series and was designed around a canine character. Its body has featured oversized ears, a tail, a tongue, a collar, and a dog-like mouth, making the theme recognizable even from the far side of a stadium. The original body was styled after a 1950 Mercury Street Rod.
Monster Mutt is not just one paint scheme. The concept produced related trucks including Monster Mutt Dalmatian and Monster Mutt Rottweiler, each using a different dog-breed identity. A short-lived Monster Mutt Junkyard Dog version also appeared in 2016.
The truck has competed on several chassis over its career, but the character remains associated with Feld Entertainment’s Monster Jam operation. It is sometimes confused with animal-named trucks or with Grave Digger because both are major fan favorites. Grave Digger, however, has a cemetery-and-skull theme, while Monster Mutt’s defining feature is its deliberately exaggerated dog design.
