Which McDonald’s slogan was used from 1990 to 1991?

The story behind the answer

“Food, Folks, and Fun” was a McDonald’s slogan used from 1990 to 1991.

The three-part phrase connected the restaurant with food, people, and an enjoyable social experience. Its alliterative structure made it easy to remember and suited McDonald’s family-oriented advertising at the beginning of the 1990s.

The line appeared between “Good Times, Great Taste,” used in the late 1980s, and “What You Want Is What You Get,” introduced afterward. McDonald’s slogan chronology is therefore useful for distinguishing otherwise similar short phrases.

The slogan should not be confused with the company’s better-known “You Deserve a Break Today” campaign from the 1970s. Although both presented McDonald’s as a pleasant part of everyday life, they belong to separate advertising periods.
