Which McDonald's mascot was a cheeseburger-headed mayor in the McDonaldland cast?

Mayor McCheese was the cheeseburger-headed mayor in McDonald's McDonaldland cast.

The character combined civic imagery with the chain's signature food. Mayor McCheese wore a formal suit and mayoral sash, while his oversized cheeseburger head made the association with McDonald's unmistakable.

He appeared alongside Ronald McDonald and other McDonaldland figures in advertising and promotional material. The character helped make McDonald's branding feel like a complete fictional community rather than a collection of unrelated product commercials.

Officer Big Mac is an easy mix-up because he was also a McDonaldland character with a food-based design. Officer Big Mac had a Big Mac-shaped head and a police role; Mayor McCheese was the character with the cheeseburger head and mayoral office.
