Which McDonald's mascot is a law officer with a Big Mac-shaped head?

Officer Big Mac is the McDonald's mascot portrayed as a law officer with a Big Mac-shaped head.

He was part of the McDonaldland cast, a group of fantasy characters used in McDonald's family advertising. His uniform and official role made him a visual counterpart to Mayor McCheese, while his Big Mac head tied him directly to one of the company's signature menu items.

The character is commonly confused with Mayor McCheese because both were civic figures in McDonaldland. The distinction is clear in their titles and designs: Mayor McCheese was the mayor with a cheeseburger head, while Officer Big Mac was the law officer with a Big Mac head.

Officer Big Mac illustrates how McDonald's converted menu names into character identities. This approach allowed product branding and fictional storytelling to reinforce one another in television commercials, promotional displays, and collectible merchandise.
