Which McDonald's character has a cheeseburger-shaped head and the title of mayor?
Answer
Mayor McCheese
Mayor McCheese is the McDonald's character with a cheeseburger-shaped head and the title of mayor.
He was one of the central figures in McDonaldland, McDonald's fictional advertising setting for children. The character combined civic imagery with the restaurant's food identity: he wore formal mayoral clothing while his head resembled a cheeseburger.
Mayor McCheese is often mixed up with Officer Big Mac, another McDonaldland character whose name and design referenced McDonald's food. The Hamburglar and Captain Crook also belonged to the same advertising world, but they served different comic roles.
The character demonstrates how McDonald's branding extended beyond a logo or slogan. McDonaldland turned menu-related ideas into a cast of recognizable personalities, allowing television commercials, in-store materials, and promotional products to share a common fictional setting.
