Which McDonaldland character had a hamburger-shaped head and was the town’s police officer?

Officer Big Mac was the McDonaldland character with a hamburger-shaped head who served as the town’s police officer.

The character was part of McDonald’s fictional advertising world, where menu-inspired figures acted like residents of a children’s storybook community. Officer Big Mac’s design combined a police uniform with a head shaped like the Big Mac sandwich, making the product connection immediately visible.

McDonaldland used exaggerated character designs to make individual menu items memorable. Officer Big Mac was distinct from Mayor McCheese, whose head was a cheeseburger, and from the Hamburglar, whose role centered on stealing hamburgers.

Because the characters appeared together in commercials and promotions, viewers can easily mix up their titles. Officer Big Mac’s defining combination was his hamburger-like head and his police-officer role.
