Which Mario Party 8 board centers on investing coins into hotels?
Answer
Koopa's Tycoon Town
Answer
Koopa's Tycoon Town
Koopa's Tycoon Town is the Mario Party 8 board centered on investing coins in hotels. Players put money into the board’s hotels, and the player with the largest current investment in a hotel receives its Stars.
The board borrows its central idea from property-investment games such as Monopoly. Instead of simply racing around a map for a randomly placed Star, players decide where to spend their coins and try to become the leading investor at valuable hotels. That creates a more strategic board than its name might initially suggest.
The other choices have very different identities. DK's Treetop Temple is built around jungle and temple hazards, Shy Guy's Perplex Express is a moving train board whose cars can be rearranged, and Goomba's Booty Boardwalk is a seaside-themed course. None uses hotel ownership as its defining mechanic.
Mario Party 8 introduced Candy items, including Twice Candy and Thrice Candy, which let players roll multiple Dice Blocks. The game contains 73 minigames across several formats, including free-for-alls, team contests, battles, duels, and challenges.
