Which legendary racing car does Paul Newman voice in Pixar's Cars?

Paul Newman voices Doc Hudson in Pixar's Cars.

Doc Hudson is the town doctor in Radiator Springs, but he is also revealed to be the Fabulous Hudson Hornet, a celebrated former racer. His racing career ended after a crash and a long period of being ignored by the racing world. He initially hides that history from Lightning McQueen, who is too focused on winning to understand Doc's disappointment.

Doc's character is based on the real Hudson Hornet, a car associated with the Hudson Motor Car Company and successful NASCAR competition in the early 1950s. The film connects the fictional character to that racing heritage while giving him a personal story about pride, loss, and mentoring.

Paul Newman was an accomplished actor and a real-life racing enthusiast. Cars was his final film performance released during his lifetime. The King is voiced by Richard Petty, while Chick Hicks is voiced by Michael Keaton, so neither is the answer.
