Raikou clears the clouds over Bleak Beach in Pokémon Pokopia.
Bleak Beach is shrouded in thick clouds, leaving the region dark and gloomy even during daytime. Ditto’s project there is to restore light sources and improve the area’s brightness. During that work, Ditto meets Peakychu, a pale Pikachu that can absorb electricity but can no longer generate it.
After Ditto repairs enough electricity sources to power a charging station, Peakychu can recharge. The restored electrical power produces enough light to cause Raikou to appear. Raikou then drives away the clouds covering Bleak Beach, changing the region’s atmosphere and helping wake Mosslax, the moss-covered Snorlax.
Raikou is easy to confuse with Kyogre because both are legendary Pokémon involved in major weather-related story moments. Kyogre summons the proper rain that frees Onix, while Raikou clears the clouds at Bleak Beach.
