Which Le Mans-winning car in 2025 carried race number 83?

The Ferrari 499P carrying race number 83 won the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans. AF Corse entered the privately operated Ferrari, driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson, and the trio took the overall victory after 24 hours at the Circuit de la Sarthe.

The result was historic for several reasons. It was Ferrari’s third consecutive overall Le Mans victory after wins in 2023 and 2024, but the first for a customer-style AF Corse entry rather than Ferrari’s two principal factory cars. Kubica returned to the top class after years away from the front of endurance racing, while Ye became the first Chinese driver to win Le Mans overall.

The number 83 is therefore associated with the winning car in 2025, not with the year or a class designation. Porsche 963s, BMW M Hybrid V8s and Toyota GR010 Hybrids also competed in the Hypercar field, but none of those models won the overall race that year.
