Which Lamborghini model was produced from 1990 to 2001?

The story behind the answer

The Lamborghini model produced from 1990 to 2001 was the Lamborghini Diablo. It replaced the Countach as Lamborghini’s flagship V12 sports car and was itself replaced by the Murciélago.

The Diablo was developed under the project name Project 132 and was presented for sale in January 1990. Its mid-mounted 5.7-liter V12 initially produced 492 PS, giving the rear-wheel-drive car a claimed top speed of 325 km/h. The name “Diablo” means “devil” in Spanish and follows Lamborghini’s tradition of using dramatic Spanish-related names.

During its long production run, the Diablo gained several important variants. The Diablo VT introduced all-wheel drive in 1993, while the Diablo Roadster became Lamborghini’s first open-top V12 production car. Later versions included the track-focused SE30 and GT. Lamborghini built approximately 2,903 Diablos in total.
