Which Lamborghini flagship V12 model debuted in 2011? The answer is the Lamborghini Aventador.
The Aventador was unveiled in 2011 as Lamborghini's new flagship, replacing the Murciélago after that model's decade-long run. Its public launch took place at the Geneva Motor Show on 28 February 2011, and production began that year at Lamborghini's Sant'Agata Bolognese factory in Italy.
The car introduced a new carbon-fiber monocoque and a newly developed 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12. The original Aventador LP 700-4 produced 700 PS and sent power to all four wheels through a seven-speed automated manual transmission. Its sharply creased design continued Lamborghini's dramatic styling tradition.
The name came from Aventador, a Spanish fighting bull that fought in Zaragoza in 1993. Lamborghini expanded the range with versions including the Aventador S, SV, SVJ, and roadster. Production ended in 2022, and the Revuelto became its successor in 2023.
