Dizzy Reed has been a member of Guns N' Roses since 1990.

Born Darren Arthur Reed, Dizzy Reed was active in Los Angeles club bands before joining Guns N' Roses. He had met the band's classic lineup in the mid-1980s while his group, The Wild, rehearsed in a neighboring studio. A friendship with Axl Rose eventually led to Reed's invitation to participate in the recording of the Use Your Illusion albums and the band's following world tour.

Reed became known for keyboards, piano, percussion, and backing vocals. His playing helped expand the band's sound on songs such as “November Rain,” “Estranged,” “Live and Let Die,” and “Civil War.” He appeared on every Guns N' Roses album from Use Your Illusion I onward.

Although several musicians have held keyboard or multi-instrumentalist roles in the band—including Chris Pitman—Dizzy Reed is the long-serving member identified with the group's keyboard position. Aside from Axl Rose, he is also the band's longest-standing member.
