The rescue is shown in “Chapter 20: The Foundling,” a Season 3 episode that revisits Grogu’s escape from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As clone troopers attack the Jedi during Order 66, Beq fights through the temple and reaches Grogu, who is being protected by temple personnel.

Beq carries Grogu through the chaos and helps him escape Coruscant. The sequence expands Grogu’s previously mysterious backstory: before becoming the child protected by Din Djarin, he survived the fall of the Jedi Order and was hidden for years. The episode also connects the character to the broader history of the prequel-era Jedi.

The main confusion is with Jedi who were active elsewhere during Order 66, including Mace Windu, Plo Koon and Shaak Ti. None of those choices is identified in The Mandalorian as Grogu’s rescuer.
