Peter Jones was the only original Dragon to remain on the British show continuously from its launch.
Jones joined the original investor lineup when Dragon's Den began in 2005. The first group also included Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Theo Paphitis. Over the years, the panel changed as individual investors left and new Dragons arrived.
Jones became one of the programme's most recognisable investors and is known for interests spanning technology, media, retail and consumer businesses. The wording refers to continuity on the regular British programme, not to every guest investor or every international version. It also distinguishes Jones from other original Dragons whose departures occurred after the series had begun.
