Which investor joined the British television series Dragon's Den in 2011 after James Caan's departure?

The story behind the answer

Hilary Devey joined the British television series Dragon's Den in 2011 after James Caan's departure.

Devey was an English businesswoman and television personality best known for founding Pall-Ex, a palletised freight network. Her logistics background gave her experience in transport, distribution and business expansion, which shaped the expertise she brought to the investment panel.

She joined the BBC programme during a period when its investor line-up was changing. James Caan had been one of the Dragons, and Devey became his replacement in 2011. Her arrival was therefore a panel transition rather than the launch of a new edition of the format.

Hilary Devey later left Dragon's Den and pursued other television and business work. The names of replacement investors are easy to confuse because the programme has changed its panel repeatedly over many series.
