Tej Lalvani joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2017, replacing Nick Jenkins.
Lalvani is a British businessman best known as chief executive of Vitabiotics, the family-owned health and wellness company. He became one of the programme's investors during its fifteenth series, bringing experience from consumer products, nutrition and international business.
His appointment followed the departure of Nick Jenkins, the entrepreneur who founded the personalised-greeting-card company Moonpig. Lalvani's arrival added another dragon with a background in building and marketing mass-market products rather than investing solely in technology or retail.
The date can be confusing because Dragon's Den has changed its panel repeatedly across different series. Investors do not all join at the same time, and guest appearances or temporary absences are not equivalent to becoming a regular dragon. Lalvani remained associated with the regular panel for several series before later changes to the line-up.
