Rob Law created the Trunki ride-on suitcase that Dragon's Den investors rejected.
Law designed Trunki as children’s luggage that could also be ridden, giving young travellers a seat and a way to move through an airport. He pitched the product on Dragon's Den seeking investment, but the Dragons did not make a deal. The rejection became part of the product's later public story because Trunki went on to achieve substantial commercial visibility.
Trunki is associated with the British company Magmatic. Its distinctive ride-on form separates it from ordinary wheeled cases, while its child-focused design made it recognizable in travel retail.
The inventor is sometimes mixed up with Shaun Pulfrey, the creator of Tangle Teezer, another product associated with Dragon's Den and a pitch that did not produce a deal. They are different entrepreneurs and different products. Rob Law is the specific answer for Trunki.
