Rob Law created the children's travel suitcase Trunki.
Rob Law designed Trunki as a ride-on cabin suitcase for children. Its shape allows a child to sit on the case and move along on it, while the product also functions as luggage for travel. The design was developed to make journeys more engaging for children and more manageable for parents.
Law presented the idea on Dragon's Den in 2006. Although the television pitch did not result in the deal he sought, Trunki went on to become a widely recognised travel product and won design awards. The case is now commonly associated with brightly coloured, child-friendly luggage.
Trunki is sometimes mistaken for an ordinary wheeled suitcase because it has storage space and can be pulled along. Its distinctive feature is the ride-on design. Rob Law is the inventor and founder connected with the product, rather than one of the Dragons who evaluated the pitch.
