Which invented language of J.R.R. Tolkien is also called High-elven?

The story behind the answer

Quenya is the invented language of J.R.R. Tolkien that is also called High-elven. Tolkien modeled aspects of its sound and structure on languages including Finnish, Latin, and Greek.

In Tolkien’s mythology, Quenya developed from the speech of the Elves and was associated especially with the Eldar, the Elves who undertook the Great Journey toward Valinor. It remained a prestigious, formal, and literary language in later ages.

Quenya is often confused with Sindarin, another major Elvish language in Tolkien’s works. Sindarin became the everyday Elvish language of many Elves in Middle-earth, while Quenya had a more elevated and ceremonial role.

Tolkien studied historical languages professionally and created languages before constructing many of his stories. His linguistic interests helped shape names, poetry, sound patterns, and the histories of the peoples who spoke the languages in his legendarium.
