Which interior designer joined the UK Dragon's Den panel in series 11?

The story behind the answer

Kelly Hoppen joined the UK Dragon's Den panel in series 11.

Hoppen is a British designer known for an interior-design style built around clean lines, neutral colours and a blend of Eastern and Western influences. Her career included residential, commercial and hospitality design, as well as books and product collaborations.

She became a Dragon in the programme’s eleventh series, bringing a creative-industry perspective to a panel otherwise strongly associated with retail, technology, finance and manufacturing. Her expertise made her particularly relevant to pitches involving design, branding, home products and luxury goods.

Hoppen’s arrival came after Hilary Devey’s time on the panel and before later newcomers such as Nick Jenkins and Touker Suleyman. She is not related to Deborah Meaden, despite both being prominent female Dragons from different business backgrounds.
