Which horse won the 2019 Grand National at Aintree?

Tiger Roll won the 2019 Grand National at Aintree.

Trained by Gordon Elliott and ridden by Davy Russell, Tiger Roll narrowly defeated Magic of Light in the 2019 running. His victory made him the first horse since Red Rum in 1974 to win the Grand National in consecutive years. He had already won the 2018 race, also with Russell aboard.

Tiger Roll was a versatile performer who also won the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival multiple times. His attempt at a third straight Grand National victory in 2020 was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He did not run in the 2021 race, so he never matched Red Rum’s three Grand National victories.
